The Fostoria Glass Society of Tennessee was chartered in December, 1996, as a
chapter of the national organization, Fostoria Glass Society of America.
We are a non-profit organization. Our objectives are to support the
national organization and topromote the study of and preservation of
American made glass. The Tennessee chapter meets a minimum of eight
times a year (not including the Christmas party). Meeting agenda
usually includes a brief business meeting, program regarding some aspect
of Fostoria Glass or glass collecting, show and tell (when you get to
show off your favorite pieces or latest fines), and show and sell.
Our fund raising project is hosting an Elegant and Depression Glass Show
and sale. Proceeds go to support the Fostoria Glass Museum in Moundsville,
West Virginia,
and we have contributed to the Houston Art Glass Museum in Chattanooga, TN.
